The Patriot's Room is located in the new section
of the house which was built in 1993; however, it was built in the
period style of the original house, and has fooled many an
"expert". You are greeted by hand-planed wide boards, a
reproduction 18th century fireplace, wainscoting, oriental rugs, an
intricately carved 18th century inlaid wooden tester tall-post bed,
plus an en-suite bathroom. Looking out of the east window and across
the front lawn of the Mayflower Society House you can see the cupola over
Plymouth Rock and |

The Mural Room is located down the hall from the Stenciled Room and is only used as an additional bedroom when needed by a large group. The room is so named because of the beautiful murals which completely cover its walls. Depicted in the murals are serene, pale green trees and pastures, a New England Village overlooking a fanciful harbor complete with boats, a light house, a row of British Soldiers, and a representation of The Whitfield House on the shore. This room has an antique bow-testered carved mahogany canopy bed, a Sheraton side table, oriental rugs, and a view of the garden from the window. |

The large mahogany deck is located on the east side of the house. Its feeling of privacy is guaranteed by rhododendron bushes which are over one hundred and thirty-five years old, and are almost as tall as the house. Views of the streetscape, the Mayflower Society House next door, the cupola over Plymouth Rock, and Plymouth Harbor are all easily enjoyed from this spacious area. Weather permitting, breakfast can be served on the deck. |
